“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
It is a good thing to attend church services regularly because fellowship is important and a source of spiritual empowerment (Hebrews 10:25). It is a blessing to memorize scripture, hiding the word of God in our hearts which strengthens us to stand firm in righteousness (Psalm 119:10-11). Yet, if when we do these things we still doubt God’s ability to deliver us, we cannot love those who offend us, or we act unseemly when things don’t go our way, then where is our faith? It is said of Midas, that he had the power to turn everything into gold by the touch of his hand; and it is true of faith—it can turn everything into gold. Yet, the Lord is not pleased when we do not exercise our faith. Charles Spurgeon “Believing in the resurrected Christ leads to salvation but, to please God, what we believe has to be put into practice.” Faith is practicing what we believe. GiGi❤️
