![]() Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. - Ephesians 6: 10 If you think that temptation is an every now and then occurrence, you probably should think again. Temptation is not only common, it is constant. Therefore, one should have a game plan to be ready for it whenever it comes. One way to do this is to be dressed for it at all times. In Ephesians 6, Paul describes the whole armor of God which, if properly and regularly worn, can become the saint's best protection against temptation. There is a piece of armor to deal with satanic attacks which come from every and any angle. Tempting thoughts can be handled by the helmet of salvation. Tempting lusts can be covered with the girdle of truth around our loins. Temptation to stray along the wrong path can be blunted by having our feet shod with the gospel of peace. Temptation to doubt and turn back can be thwarted by the shield of faith. Tempting foul spirits can be sliced asunder with the sword of the Spirit which is the word of God. Temptation to act on our own can be reduced by seeking direction from God in prayer. This outfit is a one size fits all which must be worn by all at all times. We are to wear it when we walk. We are to wear it when we work. We are to wear it even when we sleep (to protect our dreams). Each piece has been created to keep you and designed to function together as a team. However, it will not help you unless you wear all of it, all the time. Pastor Benjamin Morris🙏🏽
