“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” (Matthew 4:39) There was an older Jamaican missionary who once preached, “what God doesn’t hinder, he allows.” God is in control even when things seem to be falling apart. God is in control when “all other ground is sinking sand.” God is in control even in the trial because he is the one that allowed it. “There was a woman, onboard a ship with her husband, the captain. She became concerned when it began to storm but her husband was calm and restful. She asked him why he was so calm when she was so distressed. He did not answer in words, but picked her up and held her near the edge of the ship as it tossed in the stormy winds. She smiled. He said, ‘Why aren’t you afraid? ‘Ah,’she replied, ‘but I am not afraid when it is my husband who is holding me.’ ‘So,’ he said, ‘neither am I afraid of a storm when it is my Father who sends it and who manages it.’ Charles Spurgeon “God is managing it. “Peace be still!.” GiGi❤️
