![]() But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. (2Peter 3:8) Do you remember the prayers that you presented before God on behalf of your children, loved ones and friends? Well, God remembers and it’s not taking as long as we think for Him to answer our prayers. One writer described how we view time in comparison to how God views it: We are going down the river in a boat and experience the changes of the river in segments, the raging rapids, the twists in one place and bends in another as it takes us to our destination, which is the ocean. It seems to be taking forever to get there, because our focus is on the process. But God stands on the high cliff that looms over the river and can see the river’s beginning and end. He beholds the entire view. So if you feel it’s taking too long for an answered prayer, stand on the cliff and see the work from God’s view. It’s an answered prayer, a completed work. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him. (1 John 5:14-15) GiGi❤️
