![]() ”Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.” (Ephesians 4:26) I have noticed that I am much more moody and irritable than usual, as we continue to navigate lifestyle changes brought on by the pandemic. Recent data suggests that society, as a whole, is struggling with emotional regulation. It is an awful feeling to go to bed angry and wake up feeling the same way. When we are triggered it is our personality (thoughts, feelings, behavior patterns), and perception of what was said or done that will determine how we feel. As believers, It is our relationship with God that will influence how we respond. Charles Spurgeon stated the following about the individual who opts not to self-regulate, knowing what the Word of God requires of them: “They wish to have the reward of obedient faith while yet they have their own way. They would reap the harvest without sowing the seed...” We have to be willing to do the work to reap the rewards. Remember, “Before we can hope to have peace with God, we must be at peace with those who have offended us.” GiGi❤️
